Why waxing is needed:

1.

Application of proper waxing results in the production of better quality   yarns by reducing friction coefficient and giving antistatic characteristics  to the yarn.

2.  Through proper waxing, a uniform yarn tension is maintained throughout the knitting operation to obtain optimum productivity.

Major Effect of Waxing:

1.     Protects yarns from friction coefficient in knitting operation.
2.     Impart better feel and lusture to the yarn.
3.     Increase tension strength of yarns.
4.     Make yarn smooth and flexible.
5.     Protects yarns from static charges.
6.     Reduces friction coefficient.
7.     Reduces loose fibers.
8.     Effect steam setting.

Special features of RM wax Rolls:

1.  We ensure the HARDNESS and SOLUBILITY of  WAX ROLLS will avoid uneconomical consumption and will result cost saving.
2  Wax Rolls are manufactures with special type of waxes for yarn. It has very high melting point and Hardness, so that the wax particles on the waxed yarn can be resistant to the heat.
3. WAX ROLLS can also be supplied with certified food grade waxes formulation if specifically asked for.
4.  WAX ROLLS are Eco friendly and biodegradable.
5.  WAX ROLLS are free from silicones.
6.  WAX ROLLS are free from Hazardous chemicals like penta chloro phenol (PCP).

Application / Effect of coefficient of Friction on Yarn:

For the most effective and economical use of wax rolls, the optimum amount of wax adhered to yarn is approximately 0.05% - o.15% on yarn Weight. Remember that within this range, the frictional resistance reduces greatly and The machine processes can be managed effectively.

United Wax formed to supply yarn lubrication

SPARTANBURG, SC — United Wax Co. LLC has been formed to provide solutions and alternatives to yarn lubrication for the textile industry, its principles announced.

The company was created out of the various interest of former Discwax personnel and by industry demand for an alternative domestic source, officials said.

The combined experience of Dean Chaney as vice president of manufacturing and Charles Easton in sales gives United Wax the knowledge and expertise needed in the area of yarn lubrication, according to Mark Mezger, president. Various wax formulas are uniquely designed to each customer, taking into consideration items such as co-efficient of friction, run-time, cleanliness and type of machinery, Mezger said.

The opening of United Wax is part of an effort to support and improve the textile industry’s position in the world economy by providing an alternative North American source, Mezger added. Domestic production will provide quick response times and immediate delivery of product, he said. A second local source would also act as a type of insurance policy and prevent a “potential crippling” of the industry when unforeseen circumstances occur, he noted.

United Wax is also equipped with a complete modern laboratory in order to provide sales personnel and customers with the tools needed to evaluate yarns and find the best solution for waxing needs, he said. The laboratory will allow the company to respond to customer needs with a specific wax for their application.
